Humans are social animals that live in a society. That's what we learned in our schools when we were kids. However, today's topic is not about society. It's all about the interactions and impressions we have in a single day or every day.
Interaction with someone, whether it is a meeting, a simple greeting, or an argument, whatever it could be, has a short or long-lasting impression in our minds regarding that person or his attitude and personality.
Therefore, today we're here to discuss the positive side of interactions. We are about to discuss how we can help other people have a great day. This is not difficult to do if we try, so let's try it out and see how simple it is.
Greeting someone with a smile:
Greeting someone in our daily routine. It is the first thing we learn from our parents, to say hello, Namaste, and so on in different languages all over the world. Though the words are different, the motive is the same, that is, to greet someone.
Greeting someone with a smile is more powerful than simply saying, "Hi" in a rough voice. This is common sense but people forget it today.
We need to add to our habit that if we greet someone we should greet them with a smile. It strengthens your bond with that person. Furthermore, it sends positive energy to them, whether they want it or not. They'll reply to your Hi with a smile, and they'll feel appreciated.
Gift something unexpected:
When you want to make someone happy, gifts always work best, but on special occasions, such as a birthday, anniversary, or achievement, people expect a gift from you. But here is the magical thing about gifting: when we offer someone an unexpected gift, it generates really strong positivity in that person,
The size of the gift is not a matter here, it's all about the timing and way you offer that gift to that person. Simply giving your spouse a flower in the morning, buying your kid a football or baseball, or gifting a branded pen to your colleague in the office is sure to make their day.
You don't have to wait for an occasion to give someone a gift, just do it. You can make a small donation of clothes, books, or even shoes to the needy. Just wanted to make someone's day special by doing this.
Call someone who has been out of touch for a long time:
As we said above gifting can boost the morale of people around you. We will now talk about those who have been away from you for a long time. These can be your family members, your school/college friends, or your colleagues from previous companies.
Today, you are probably busy and they probably are too, but if you would like to make someone's day a little more special, give them a call, inquire about their well-being, progress in life, or even what kind of guidance they need from you today. Surely they will hang up their phone with a smile on their face when they remember those days when you shared lots of memories.
Send a Thank-you note: Now that we have discussed all the common actions, we will discuss something people call professional. The importance of this will be magnified if you run a business. When we talk about making someone's day beautiful, sending a thank you note is a very useful tool.
Put yourself in the position of the second person and imagine that you have just started your day when your phone receives a text message or an e-mail from your customer or supplier expressing their gratitude for your long-term relationship with them. What a nice feeling it is to receive such a thoughtful message from someone you care about! There may be a short period of time or it might be possible that your whole day will be full of energy.
Make lunch a team event:
If you are a boss or company owner, this is a very common way to get in touch with your team members. Your team is invaluable, not only for the work they do, but also for the quality time you spend with them. You and your team are especially likely to benefit from this when you are working hard. There isn't really anything difficult about it.
As soon as you arrive at the office, explain to your team that you will have lunch together, either in the office or outside. Then, have some rules while you are eating. You are trying to release some pressure from them, so keep office or project talk behind you when you are eating. Check to see if many of your team members are enjoying their day.
The most significant thing to notice is that all these actions should be taken in the morning. you might get to know, but hopefully, your one action can make someone's day beautiful.
