It’s a question that always popped up in our minds whenever we have an idea to do something different that "Am I Eligible" for this?. It's natural and it should come into our mind cause of our surroundings and beliefs.
Let’s face it..
Before someone going to ask us that why we had started something or planning to start? Instead, We start asking from our-self that am I eligible to do this?
The reasons for this entire why’s are simple. Our doubt on our self and our skill of learning now.
Definitely, with growing age we stop learning, we forgot our way of learning.
It doesn't only happen with the guys who were average or below average in their academic career, but also with those, who were outstanding academic or engineering records.
There are two main reasons which we are going to discuss here-
1- Fear
Yeah! You are going to say it’s normal to have fear when we are going to change something in our career, life, daily routine and all,
Sure it is, but we never face our fear with an antidote.
People say that there are two types of fear we face when we want to start/change something:
A- If I start and I will fail?
B- If I start and I will succeed?
Sure fear has different reasons, but outcomes are the same, you won’t start it - Because deep down inside you think that you are not eligible.
You are not eligible to start something and turn it into a huge success.
You are not eligible to start something and keep running or growing it.
The best antidote to fear is very simple to have, it’s the knowledge, and yes knowledge is the only thing that can not only remove your fear from your mind. even it can help you to not only survive but also thrive in your life.
Make a small habit and its really going to help you,
Promise to yourself to start finding answers for what put fear into your mind. Read books, Consult with experts, take action.
It’s much better to try and fail rather than never try.
2- Learning
Don’t take it wrong, here the reason for doubting yourself is not learning, instead “Stop the learning”.
Now you are going to ask – Isn’t same you have told few lines up in this article,
No! Don’t misinterpret learning with knowledge,
Knowledge is what you have checked, then cross-checked, and then start believing.
On the other hand, learning is a never-ending process. Your quota of knowledge is depending upon your continuity of learning.
One of the best quotes said by Alvin Toffler is always my favourite –
“The illiterate of the 21st century will not be those who cannot read and write, but those who cannot learn, unlearn, and relearn.”
Think for a moment and try to find out that isn’t a reason for your doubting yourself?
If you haven’t started what you wanted to do, is it a lack of knowledge or do you just stop learning?
If you started something and got failed or not growing, doesn’t it require to learn, unlearn and relearn?
So if we summarized all this and getting an answer to vanish your doubt on your eligibility,
We have to face our fears with knowledge and keep going forward with our re-continued habit of learning.
Start doing this and no-one, not even you, never going to ask your-self
Am I eligible or not for my dreams and goals?
